The discovery of farm equipment at the ranch in California was first reported by the Los Angeles Times.
The owners have since taken to social media to explain the discovery, stating they “did not want to jeopardize the health of our animals.”
According to the report, the animals were all kept in an animal shelter, and the owner told the Times the animals had been “fed a diet of grain, grass and other natural food sources.”
The owners also claimed they had recently purchased a truck, but the truck has since been “unfortunately destroyed” by fire.
The report went on to say the farm is located on an area where a wildfire “has burned several acres and is expected to continue burning this summer.”
The owner of the ranch told the paper that the ranch is “a great place for us to have a good home, but it was destroyed by fire.”
