The Boston Celtics have traded for the Boston Rockets’ Chris Andersen to add to their frontcourt depth.
The Boston Celtics and Houston Rockets have agreed to a three-year deal that will send forward Chris Andersen, guard Aaron Brooks and forward Aaron Brooks’ first-round pick in 2018 to the Rockets, league sources told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
The Rockets and Rockets traded for Andersen on Tuesday and traded for Brooks and second-round draft pick next year.
Brooks has averaged 11.8 points and 4.6 assists in 26.5 minutes a game this season.
The Celtics will have to use the pick in the 2019 NBA draft to select a player.
The trade comes after the Rockets sent their 2018 first-rounder to the Boston Celtics for Andersen.
